Your info (optional — used to calculate your BMI and waist risk)

How to measure your waist correctly

  1. Find the right spot. Locate the top of your hip bone and the bottom of your ribs. Measure at the midpoint between the two — for most people, this is right around belly-button level.
  2. Use a flexible tape measure (the kind used for sewing works well) and wrap it around your bare stomach at that spot, keeping it level all the way around.
  3. Stand up straight and relax — don't hold your stomach in or suck it in.
  4. Keep the tape snug but not tight. It should sit flat against your skin without squeezing or leaving a mark.
  5. Breathe out normally, then read the number before you breathe back in.
  6. Write down the number in inches. Waist size changes slowly, so checking once a month is usually often enough — you don't need to measure it daily.

Your privacy: This tracker stores your readings only in this browser, on this device (using local storage). Nothing is sent to BluePalm Hub or anyone else. Clearing your browser data or switching devices will erase the log, so use "Export as CSV" or "Print / Save as PDF" if you want a permanent copy. BMI and waist risk are only calculated if you enter your height and sex above — both are optional, and BMI is a general screening estimate that doesn't account for muscle mass, frame size, or other individual factors.
